Hellmuth to head to European Open IV
January 18, 2008
The PartyPoker European Open IV is set to get under way Feb. 1-8 with possibly the strongest field it’s seen so far. That playing field will be led by Phil Hellmuth and his 11 World Series of Poker bracelets.
Not only will Phil Hellmuth lead the playing field into battle, he’ll be joining Jesse May in the commentary box as well.
“I am really looking forward to playing in, and commentating for, the European Open,” Hellmuth said in a press release. “I am flying from California to London for one reason: to win, baby!”
To reach that goal, Hellmuth will have to face returning champ Liam Flood. Flood conquered a final table that included former World Open Champions Pippa Flanders and John Magill to earn the title last year.
