CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwire - June 23, 2008) - The Canadian Poker Tour, the recently acquired poker brand of HeadsUp Entertainment International Inc. (the “Company”) (PINK SHEETS:HDUP) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic marketing alliance with the World Poker Showdown to enhance and promote each others series of events. The Canadian Poker Tour (CPT) is launching its 2008 season with the first event beginning this Wednesday in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with the Calgary Classic at the Cash Casino (http://www.canadianchampionshippoker.com/Events/).

There will be a series of tournaments across the country in which winners from each main event will qualify for the televised CPT Invitational Finals to be held January 20-22, 2009 as part of the World Poker Showdown’s series of events held at the Ocean World Casino in the Dominican Republic.
